Tribal Leadership Council Foundation Awards Six Scholarships for Reservation Economic Summit 2026

LAWTON, Okla. – The Tribal Leadership Council (TLC), through the TLC Foundation, has announced six scholarship recipients who will attend the Reservation Economic Summit (RES) 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The scholarships support Tribal leaders and business executives in advancing their professional development and strengthening economic opportunities within Indian Country.

The 2026 scholarship recipients represent diverse Tribal communities and leadership roles across the nation:

  • Mary Descheeny-Reyna, CEO & Founder, Indigenous Workplace Solutions
  • Council Member & Treasurer Megan Gourd, Fort Bidwell Indian Community
  • Chairwoman Tisha Gonzalez, Manchester Point Arena Band of Pomo Indians
  • Secretary Starr Chavez, Wichita and Affiliated Tribes
  • Vice President Tasha Mousseau, Wichita and Affiliated Tribes
  • Rekisha Yazzie, Senior Economic Development Officer, The Navajo Nation

RES brings together Tribal leaders, government officials, and industry experts to discuss critical issues affecting economic growth and sovereignty in Indian Country. The conference provides invaluable networking opportunities and practical strategies for building thriving Tribal economies.
