LAWTON, Okla – The Tribal Leadership Council (TLC) and KOSO Strategies (KOSO) are excited to announce the launch of the Tribal Governance Professional Certification. The first class will be held at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) from December 9-11, 2025.
The Three-day Tribal Governance Professional (TGP) Certification program supports leadership growth and empowerment rooted in cultural values and shared governance across Tribal Nations. The program delivers dynamic, culturally relevant learning experiences that engage participants in real-world applications, fosters peer-to-peer exchange to honor collective wisdom, and promotes collaborative resource sharing and knowledge transfer to strengthen governance, sovereignty, and self-determination. This certification will have continuing education credits requirement to keep the certification and designation valid.
“Collaborating with TLC we are building pathways that uplift Tribal Nations, support Tribal Leadership and provide learning opportunities for future leaders,” said Ernest Vargas Jr., Founding Director of KOSO.
